1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Resumify, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this platform. The materials contained in this platform are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features of Resumify, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information including your name, email address, and password. You may also sign in using Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Resumify. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3. Use of Services

Resumify grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use our platform for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the platform
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Scrape, copy, or distribute content from the platform without permission
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use automated systems or bots to access the service

4. Content Ownership and License

You retain full ownership of all resumes, cover letters, and documents you create or upload to Resumify. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process, analyze, and enhance your documents using our AI services solely for the purpose of providing our services to you.

We do not claim ownership over your content and will not use it for any purpose other than providing our services. We may use anonymized, aggregated data for analytics and service improvement, but this data cannot be traced back to individual users.

5. Premium Subscription and Payments

Resumify offers both free and premium subscription tiers. Premium subscriptions provide access to advanced features including unlimited resumes and cover letters, AI-enhanced rewriting, ATS optimization, Resume review, and priority support.

Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers (Paystack for NGN payments and Flutterwave for USD payments). We do not store your credit card information. All payment processing is handled by PCI-DSS compliant services.

Premium subscriptions may be billed monthly or annually depending on your chosen plan. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and you will continue to have access to premium features until the end of your current billing period. No refunds will be provided for partial subscription periods.

6. AI Processing and Data Use

Our AI services analyze, summarize, and enhance your career documents. The AI models process your submitted data temporarily to provide these services. We do not use your data to train or fine-tune our AI models, ensuring your privacy and confidentiality.

While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content should be reviewed and edited by you before use. We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any particular purpose.

7. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal information and uploaded documents will be permanently removed from our servers.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the service in a manner that could harm other users or the platform.

8. Limitation of Liability

Resumify is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.

We are not responsible for the success or failure of your job applications. The effectiveness of resumes and cover letters depends on many factors beyond our control.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through a notice on our platform. Your continued use of Resumify after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
